Facts, people’s stated positions, our interpretation and audience preference are distinct. A popular answer does not make a claim true. Evidence does not have to favor both sides equally.
Leave room for nuance.
Two positions can start a conversation without exhausting it. “Both,” “Another contender” and “Undecided” appear when they fit the question.
Keep the record.
Stories retain event dates, source links and visible update notes. Closed voting rounds move to the Archive. Substantive changes will be dated; a new question needs a separate round.
